Introduction to Caramel Icing!

Now that you've got your icing, you may ask yourself, "What do I do with it?"

Well... it has a 6 month shelf life, and does not have to be refrigerated. It freezes well if you plan to keep it longer. Because of the extreme heat of the Mississippi Delta, we take special precautions on shipping when the temperature reaches over 101 degrees.

Our caramel icing is very easy to use. Just remove the lid and heat in the microwave for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes (just long enough to make it spreadable). Heating for too long (3-4 min) will make your icing too hard. If this happens don't despair, just add a little vanilla and some pecans and drop on waxed paper for delicious pralines.

We suggest you use a butter recipe cake mix, but it is also very good on spice cake, carrot cake, fresh apple cake, pound cake, coffee cake, or anything. My granddaughter "yikes it on her finger". On our link below are some other ways to use the icing. Or be creative! Create your own recipes and send them to us and we will post it below.
